My first post on my blog gets to be about UFC , which is WORLD WIDE and has now made its way to a household name.

I decided to go through the fight card with a friend of mine, Kyle, as we decide who will win each fight and by what means: Submission, TKO, Tapout, or decision.
Preliminary Fights-
Gracie Vs. Beltran : Kyle Picks Gracie by Submission.. I say Gracie by decision. I asked Kyle why he picked Gracie.. “because ‘The Mexicutioner’ is stepping up on super short notice and hasn’t had a great camp..” I decided decision because of both of their fighting stats, I believe it will be one that will go to the judges. Kyle and I both agree though that Gracie will win because he is after all part of the Kennedy Family of fighting!
Hague Vs. Tuchscherer : My pick goes to “The Crowbar” Tuchscherer, he has more in the cage experience versus Hague and by the looks of things his body mass will be more powerful than Hague’s although Hague will be quick on his feet it will end up being a great match in my opinion. Kyle agrees.. saying that “Tim Hague is coming off a loss and Chris Tuchscherer is a two-time NCAA Division II All-American wrestler..My pick is with Tuchscherer.”
Stann Vs. Davis : This fight is going to be an excellent one to watch! Davis is undefeated with only 4 fights under his belt and Stann having 8 wins and 2 losses, both are going to put on a great show! My pick is with Stann, just because he has more experience, definitely a submission Win! Kyle’s pick is with Davis.. “He’s the underdog and a Penn state wrestler.. I think that fight goes to the ground compliments of a first round take down by Davis. SUBMISSION VICTORY!”
Nover Vs. Emerson : Kyle made me laugh on this choice.. stating that “The intellegent call is Nover! But I’m a west coast guy so I’m callin Emerson.Despite his atrocious record and two recent losses.. I’m going to lie to myself and say ‘He’s Due.’” Got to love Kyle’s honesty ! I am going to go ahead and just bet against Kyle and say Nover! We’ll see how this one plays out!
Guillard Vs. Torres : Kyle off the bat said “GUILLARD!!!!!!!! Easy.. TKO.. Dude is just lightning QUICK!
*note my power went out and I’m freaking out so Kyle and I finish our conversation via texts while I get hit with 30 inches of snow. Format not the best but here goes the rest *
Kyle: Everyones talking down this card but I think it’s going to be quite a bloodbath!
xoetsublondieox: Agreed it should be an exciting night. Now what about Melvin Guillard vs. Ronnys Torres?
Kyle: Ahhh! Not so fast.. This is where you call the televised fights.. Let’s hear some of your picks and opinions.. K?
xoetsublondieox: Alright then
Kyle: Melvin Guillard vs. Ronnys Torres?
xoetsublondieox: Guillard.
Kyle: Why?
xoetsublondieox: He is a vetran in the world of mma. 41 wins, there’s no way he’d lose to torres unless torres knocks him out but well see
Kyle: Yes, yes we will.. (Good pick btw)

Danzing Vs. Buchholz :
Kyle: K, what about Mac Danzig vs. Justin Buchholz?
xoetsublondieox: DANZING! I feel he’ll be able to last 3 rounds and not get as tired as Buchholz and will definitely have the upperhand when the fight goes to the floor.
Kyle: Nice.. No follow up from me there..
Serra Vs. Trigg :
Kyle: Here’s a good one! The midget Serra Vs. ‘Twinkle Toes’ Trigg??
xoetsublondieox: Serra.
Kyle: Oh really! Why’s that?
xoetsublondieox: He’s truely the terror! He lives up to his name and although he has 6 losses he is sure to send Frank back down the ranks.
Kyle: I’d love to see that happen.. I’m going with Serra too.
Kyle: This is my least favorite fight of the televised fights.. Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller?!
xoetsublondieox: This next one is going to be tough. Their records are close but guts tell me to pick Miller
Swick Vs. Thiago:
Kyle: Enough said.. Nothing I wanna follow up with.. Let’s get to the next two fights.. The two I’m the most excited about.. Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago and Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen.
Kyle: Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago first..
xoetsublondieox: QUICK SWICK FOR THE WIN!!! He’ll be able to take more kicks to the side and be able to keep the momentum up for all rounds. He also has in my opinion faster hands and feet than Thiago.
xoetsublondieox: Swick throws tighter combos and will leave Thiago wondering what just happened.
Marquardt Vs. Sonnen :
Kyle: Getting amped talking about this card.. Ok now how about Nate ‘The Great’ vs. Sonnen?
xoetsublondieox: This is the fight i hope i get to watch. We’ve had no power since 5pm and were still without power.
xoetsublondieox: I think Sonnen will be the underdog winner and shock the crowd. He came here to win and he’s not leaving without one. His losses have made him a better and stronger fighter.
Kyle: Agree.. I’m saying this turns into a blood bath and takes fight of the night honors.. Sonnen isn’t giving anything up tonight.
MAIN EVENT
Couture Vs. Coleman
Kyle: Iiiiiiiitttttt’ss TIME!!!! The main event of the evening.. So what do ya say? Couture over Coleman?
xoetsublondieox: THE MAIN EVENT GOES TO….. drum rol …. COUTURE !!!! fighting for him just comes natural the win will be decision but I hope it’s a TKO, that would be nice . Randy is definitely the crowds favorite he’ll do well in this matchup. Just see
Kyle: And I will.. Have a seat saved at the local pub and should be surrounded with savaged fight fans, good food and great beer. I just hope the power comes back on, allowing you to at least catch the Main and co-Main events.. Time is on your side.. Fight doesn’t start till 10 EST.

Kyle: We’ll need to voucher our prediction against the actual results..
